Any resemblance to Saturday Night Fever in this new series is purely intentional, right down to the Travolta in the cast. She's John's older sister Ellen, 39, who plays mother to Greg Antonacci, the disco king of Passaic, N.J., and David Naughton, his younger brother trying to resist temptation while stayin' alive in college. Spin-offs aren't always rip-offs, though. Winning performances all around and some new snap in old formulas make this a new series that might live up to its title.
