Last year NBC turned Louisa May Alcott's 19th-century novel into an entertaining miniseries; this weekly spin-off is the network's projection of what happens after the book ends. For starters, they figure, the women aren't so little anymore—the first episode is about Jo's becoming "aware of her own sensuality in ways that she finds both curious and shocking."
