Picks and Pans Review: The Bob Hope American Youth Awards Show

Host Bob Hope (his company produced the show and sold it to Texaco) is joined by Dinah Shore, Johnny Carson and others to present awards to 17 young people, 13 of them athletes. They exemplify, in Hope's not exactly radical interpretation, "the best qualities of American youth."
