The conception is daring for prime time—a sitcom about an unwed mother. Darleen (Once An Eagle) Carr is the naive mom; Roscoe Lee (King) Browne provides comedy as a neighbor who loathes kids. In TV's Year of the Single Parent, when marriage seems exiled to the soaps, this show is relatively compelling if a mite simple-minded.
