Four children step through a closet into a fantasy world in this two-part animated special (concluding tomorrow) based on the seven-volume Chronicles of Narnia, written by C. S. Lewis for his goddaughter. A kingly lion helps the kids overthrow an ice-hearted witch, but the show's creators (their credits include Sesame Street and Peanuts features) could have used some help themselves. The artwork seems slight, the dialogue flat and the pacing slow.
