The pangs of unnatural childbirth are treated melodramatically in this made-for-TVer in which Kay Lenz volunteers to bear a transplanted embryo that Cassie Yates conceives but can't carry. Then Lenz falls in love with Cliff De Young and wants to keep the child. Charles (One Day at a Time) Siebert is Yates' husband, and Martin Balsam is perfection as the kindly doc behind it all.
