When Sgt. Michael Mullen was killed by "friendly fire" in Vietnam, his Iowa farmer parents broke out of the silent majority and into the peace movement to find the truth about their son's death. C. D. B. Bryan wrote the book upon which this TV film is based. Superb performances by Carol Burnett and Ned Beatty as the Mullens and Sam Waterston as author Bryan make it must viewing.
