ABC (9 p.m. ET)
Saundra Sharp plays a young black woman who becomes a buyer at a glamorous New York department store but is drawn back to Harlem by an old boyfriend, played by Dick Anthony Williams. Morgan Freeman excels as a school chum turned junkie, and Anna Maria Horsford is fine as a poor woman trying to hang onto her man. But Lee Hunkins' play, second winner of the laudable ABC Theatre Award for now TV playwrights, is not up to The Last Tenant, the 1978 winner. Maybe you can't go home again, but the trip shouldn't be this contrived.
