Don't let the season slip by without trying this idea-packed little paperback. It does all the menu planning for vacation entertaining, and a few of these meals could make the summer of 79 memorable. Madden's suggestions are nothing if not elegant (cost is never considered), but at least the preparation is simple. One picnic menu consists of cold lemon chicken (wrapped in foil with chopped cucumber), Italian eggplant, French bread, Brie and grapes. One adapted recipe for an easy summer cocktail appetizer:
