Ron Wood
For his third solo album, guitarist Ron Wood has help from fellow Rolling Stones Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts and ex-Faces partner Ian MacLagen as well as Mick Fleetwood. It's apparent why none of their full names appear in the credits. Despite considerable roadhouse rock energy—and Wood's uncanny aping of Bob Dylan's voice on Dylan's Seven Days—much of the LP has the unpolished sound of a jam recorded on basement tapes. For all its drive, Wood's work here is disappointingly pedestrian.
