NBC (9 p.m. ET)
John Ritter and Suzanne Somers, both 30, are a bit young to be hosting a '60s retrospective, and the film clips of Ritter (in Burt Reynolds' old series Dan August, which actually ran in the early 70s) and Somers (in 197'3's American Graffiti) are outright anachronisms. But the two of them are nonetheless engaging, and co-host Twiggy helps with a jaunt to Liverpool to trace the Beatles' rise. Sonny Bono, Joan Rivers, Dionne Warwick and Mary Travers, plus other greater and lesser cultural trend setters, join in for a romp through '60s fashions, politics and songs. As nostalgia programs go, it's a treat; as summer programs go, it's a godsend.
