Picks and Pans Review: The Paradise Connection

CBS (9 p.m. ET)

The paradise is the Hawaiian island of Maui, and the connection is drug smuggling. That's the most exciting part of this made-for-TVer: figuring out the title. Buddy Ebsen stars as a Chicago lawyer tracking down his estranged son, and Ebsen's real daughter, Bonnie, 27, plays a waitress. Buddy also demonstrates his real-life prowess at kung fu. But most of the footage shows him walking to cars, opening the door, getting in, driving, stopping, opening the door, getting out. Sometimes he repeats the drill with a boat.
