Claude Akins is a gross Southern sheriff—one minority group still subject to Hollywood slurring—in this spin-off from the already mindless Dukes of Hazzard. The mayor's son, Brian Kerwin, dogs Akins' steps, urging him to mend his ways. Better he should work on NBC's programmers.
