Earl Holliman and a sophisticated script lend renewed substance to the theme of divorce, focusing on shocked blue-collar husband Holliman rather than frustrated wife Carrie Snodgress. Her complaint is unclear, but Holliman's interchange with his kids, well played by Robbie Rist and Shannon Terhune, provides drama enough.
