The second in the Three Cheever Stories series stars Michael (Manhattan) Murphy as an executive unable to accept the onset of middle age. Kathryn (Rich Kids) Walker is the wife who reaches out to him. It's a grim theme, updated here from its original late-'50s setting. Murphy appears to be the only entry under "disgruntled husbands" in the Hollywood casting director handbook, but he is dazzling. So is Walker.
