This revival of a successful 1977 series will feature eight newly filmed stories—by the likes of Thurber, Cather and Hawthorne—followed by reruns of the original nine. The opener, from a Ring Lardner yarn, stars James Whitmore and Teresa Wright, exploring jealousy on their 50th wedding anniversary. They are splendid, though the tale is stretched a little to fill out the hour.
