CBS (8:30-11 p.m. ET)

It won Oscars in 1974 for screenplay and "best achievement in sound" (mostly bloodcurdling screams and growls). Linda Blair is possessed by the devil, and her dithered mother, Ellen Burstyn, asks priest Max von Sydow to make a house call. CBS advises viewer discretion for both "due to the mature theme." That's one way to put it.
