In skits and monologues, Bob Newhart tackles everything from funerals ("How long were you married?" "Right up until she died") to the oil crisis ("Islam is my land, Islam is your land") to dangerous airports ("The traffic controller is not in right now, but if you leave your name, flight number and the time you called, he will get right back to you"). It's classy if macabre.
