Picks and Pans Review: Flo

Polly Holliday has abandoned Alice to Diane Ladd (page 60A), having earned this spinoff by turning her supporting role as Flo, the kiss-my-grits waitress, into the series' most popular character. In the new show, she is the owner of a broken-down roadhouse—"Flo's Yellow Rose"—and is determined to make it the hot spot of Cowtown, Texas. Flo is brassy, bawdy and as winning as ever.
