Picks and Pans Review: The Return of the King

This animated special picks up J.R.R. Tolkien's Frodo and the Hobbits where a popular 1977 special left them—returning the enchanted ring to the ghastly land of Mordor. It's visually excellent and the voices, by people like Orson Bean, Roddy McDowall and William Conrad, fit the characters delightfully. The pacing, however, is tedious.
