The outcome at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena may lack suspense but not coverage. Both CBS, anchored by Walter Cronkite, and NBC, anchored by John Chancellor and David Brinkley, plan gavel-to-gavel coverage of the four-day convention expected to nominate Ronald Reagan. ABC's reports, anchored by Frank Reynolds and Ted Koppel, will interrupt the convention hoopla for special editions of 20/20 both tonight and Tuesday at 8 ET.
