Picks and Pans Review: Splitsville

UPDATED 07/21/1980 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 07/21/1980 at 01:00 AM EDT

by Frank Baginski and Reynolds Dodson

The laughs are slightly bitter—estrangement and alimony aren't all that amusing—but the newspaper comic strip collected here hits some bruised funny bones and has built a faithful year-and-a-half relationship with its followers. Writer Dodson is divorced; artist Baginski has never married. This paperback is a prelude to a TV adaptation planned for the fall. (Hawthorn Books, $4.95)
