The finely tuned 1979 bicycling movie has been turned into a fat balloon tire of a sitcom, starring Shaun Cassidy, Vincent Gardenia and Barbara Barrie. Only Jackie Earle Haley, as the holdover townie from the movie, gives the series some of the freshness of its namesake. (Premiere)
