Crippled news vendor James Stacy and his gambler brother, Mickey Rooney, hatch a harebrained plot to kidnap runaway heiress Glynnis O'Connor. Against all odds, Stacy and O'Connor fall in love. More surprisingly, this unassuming comedy-drama, set in New Orleans, hits the jackpot.
