He doesn't draw just those cute, vicious, enigmatic cats, of course. Kliban is a regular contributor to Playboy, and this collection includes samples of his bawdier cartoons from 1965 through 1980. Most of them are rather explicit, but they can be pretty funny, despite a snickery preoccupation with orgies, indecent exposure and adulterers caught in flagrante delicto. But there are some inoffensive Klibans, such as the king sitting on his throne muttering to his queen, "Here it is Saturday night and the jester's broken!" (Wide-view Books, $6.95)
