No doubt stirred by the success of Coal Miner's Daughter—the film about country singer Loretta Lynn's battles with poverty, nervous breakdowns and a husband who drinks too much—this TV movie examines country singer Tammy Wynette's battles with poverty, nervous breakdowns and a husband who drinks too much.
