Disgusted by gang violence and extortion in their South Bronx neighborhood, Kevin Mahon and Paul (Fame) McCrane form a youthful anti-crime squad. But the biggest heist in this overly optimistic TV movie is of the Guardian Angels, the controversial New York subway vigilantes whose real-life story is being so obviously lifted. Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa, who did not cooperate with the filmmakers, is suing for $10 million.
