British actor Nicholas Clay stylishly re-creates the fourth century B.C. Macedonian who conquered the known world at 27, but the intercutting of James Mason's narration is annoyingly awkward and confusing. Handsomely filmed, though, the four-part series continues weekly on Wednesdays.
