This particularly good deal is available from the British firm Cosmos. "Europe in 16 Days" covers London, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France. It includes rooms with private baths, sightseeing, transport (except air fare) and almost all meals at a cost of $754 ($674 off-season) per person. Cosmos also has a deal that lets you fly to London from any of 22 U.S. cities for $550 to $750 round-trip at the height of the summer season.

Yugoslavia offers the tourist top value. Yugotours, an international operation, has an eight-day package going to the resort city of Dubrovnik on the Adriatic Sea from New York or Chicago. This includes air fare, first-class hotel and continental breakfasts for $999 in June to $1,049 in July and August ($100 extra from Chicago).
