Picks and Pans Review: The Other Side of the Mountain

In 1955 Olympic hopeful Jill Kinmont skied off the side of a mountain and was paralyzed from the neck down. This gentle 1975 movie, starring Marilyn Hassett, tells of Kinmont's inspiring effort to become a teacher and build a new life. The 1977 sequel, which depicts her courtship by and marriage to a shy California trucker (Tim Bottoms), airs Friday in the same time slot. (Repeat)
