Television simplifies, and wise networks treat our legends gingerly. So it is no surprise that this TV movie about the former First Lady's life from girlhood through the White House years has the aura of a romantic novel. Jaclyn Smith (see story, page 106) sometimes manages a startling similarity to Jackie, while James Franciscus recreates the JFK role he first played in The Greek Tycoon.
