In a clichéd spin-off "sequel" to the 1979 hit movie, Cassie Yates plays the Sally Field role as a feisty mill hand and unwed parent. When she befriends a black youth, her white ex-lover drags her into court on spurious "unfit mother" charges. His attempt fails; so does this series pilot.
