President and Nancy Reagan are on the cover in red, white and blue undies, just waiting for little girls all over America to snip out the Western outfits for the ranch, clothes for campaigning, leisure togs for Camp David and formal duds for state occasions. There's an Oval Office to serve as a setting. On the back cover are the First Children, Ron Jr. and Patti. (The President's earlier brood of children was omitted, and so was his first wife, actress Jane Wyman.) Included is a reporter who' looks like Barbara Walters. She asks, "If you were a tree, what kind would you..." The book is so tastelessly inane it may become a valuable socio-cultural artifact, illustrating Americans' lack of undue reverence for their leaders. (Dell, $4.95)
