"Inspired" by a 1953 government probe into a polygamous fundamentalist sect, this surprisingly bland TV movie stars reedy-voiced teen dream Christopher (Blue Lagoon) Atkins. A Korean War vet, he returns home to his 15-year-old sweetheart, Diane Lane, only to learn his father, Conrad Bain, wants her for his stable of wives.
