Glenda Jackson is marvelous in this riveting account of the Oscar-winning actress's recovery from the 1965 strokes (she was pregnant at the time) that left her paralyzed and unable to speak. Dirk Bogarde is superb as her author husband, Roald Dahl, who badgered her with his own therapy system into a remarkable two-year rehabilitation and an eventual return to acting.
