Mickey Rooney plays a retarded man and Dennis Quaid a young filmmaker who helps him cope with normal life after his release from 44 years in a mental institution. The acting, including Largo Woodruff's portrayal of Quaid's wife, is brilliant in this affecting TV movie based on a true story.
