Nancy Cartwright stars in a TV movie based on the true story of a normal California woman who at 9 was unfairly condemned to a mental institution, where she spent 30 years (reduced to five years for this show). Valerie Perrine plays the victim's mom, and Katharine Ross is a sympathetic nurse who helps pave the way to freedom.
