Picks and Pans Review: Dissolving Rubik's Cube

by Ken Lawless

Subtitled "The Ultimate Solution," this book of captionless cartoons, conceived by Ken Lawless and executed by Jeff Danziger, shows the infernal little objects being smashed, drowned, sliced, batted, ground up, bulldozed, drill-pressed, sent into orbit and otherwise given their just deserts. Looking at their demolition may make you feel a little better. Between them, Lawless and Danziger obviously have their fingers on the nation's pulse, and they can feel it beating furiously in frustration. (Perigee, paperback, $1.95)
