Le Roux

The apparent premise of this Southern-fried sextet out of New Orleans is that what the world needs now is yet another band that sounds like Journey or Foreigner. Le Roux's Addicted, for instance, is a dead ringer for Foreigner's Urgent. The rest of the LP, which includes the hot single Nobody Said It Was Easy, is distinguished by repetitious guitar riffs, saccharine vocals and such lame lyrics as: "No one has ever moved me/ Exactly like you do/ My sweet woman-child/ There's nobody like you." Unfortunately there are plenty of man-boys like these guys.
