Muhammad Ali lurches through this meandering miniseries (based on Howard Fast's novel) as a former slave who becomes a Senator during the Reconstruction. Kris Kristofferson is better as Ali's sharecropper pal but can't carry the champ's dead weight. Concludes tomorrow. (Repeat)
