Jennifer Jason Leigh of Fast Times at Ridgemont High stars again as a headstrong teen, this time a 17-year-old Midwesterner who runs off to California to join her lover, Peter (The Powers of Matthew Star) Barton. Susan Anspach is her mom, and Harriet Nelson plays the girl's grandmother.
