Picks and Pans Review: The Last American Virgin

UPDATED 11/22/1982 at 01:00 AM EST Originally published 11/22/1982 at 01:00 AM EST

Pick a cliché, any cliché, this movie's got it. The teenage virgin Gary (Lawrence Monoson), his pal, Rick the womanizer (Steve Antin), and a funny fat kid (Joe Rubbo) pursue sexual adventure involving various girls in various states of undress. The story has a not very surprising moral or two, along with some vulgar, misfired attempts at humor, and lots of tasteless sex. A not quite saving grace is a nonstop rock 'n' roll sound track by the Police, the Cars, Devo, Tommy Tutone and others, which distracts from the simplemindedness on screen. (R)
