Picks and Pans Review: Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas

The former co-hosts of the SCTV talk show spoof The Great White North tip their toques to E.T. as top movie. They feel Monsignor, starring Christopher Reeve, should take off. "We thought Superman would be in it, but he wasn't," says Thomas. The duo admire ABC's Tales of the Gold Monkey; they snicker at St. Elsewhere. In music, Thomas proclaims, Robert Plant's solo disc Pictures at Eleven "got the Led out of Zeppelin." Forget Jane Fonda's workout album. "We liked her in Barbarella," they affirm. Books? "We don't read."
