Reminiscent of Norma Rae, this made-for-TV drama about a union drive in a Southern mill town is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Barbara (Harlan County, U.S.A.) Kopple, whose effort here lacks dramatic impact. But performances by James Broderick and Carol (Taxi) Kane are on target.
