Gregory (Trapper John, M.D.) Harrison is an unemployed mill worker who enters a neighborhood bar's boxing contests to pay the bills. Glynnis O'Connor co-stars as his pregnant wife who hates boxing in this made-for-TV melodrama. Despite the familiar plot and the schmaltzy ending, the actors give heavyweight performances.
