Twyla Tharp choreographed this complex, bizarre and futuristic dance performance, which chronicles the dissolution of an American family against the backdrop of a crumbling society. Talking Heads composer David Byrne's cacaphonous electronic score, frenzied dance movements and computer graphics—including the dancing figure of Saint Catherine, the fourth-century Christian martyr who died on a spiked wheel—brilliantly evoke the sense of an impending apocalypse.
