Picks and Pans Review: Casablanca

Television's attempt to adapt the Bogie-Bergman film classic for a series starts out nicely enough, with Scatman Crothers accompanying Trisha Noble's torch song in Rick's smoke-filled nightclub. But as time goes by, the story swiftly goes downhill. David Soul seems wooden in Bogart's role, and the supporting players are blander than Vichy water. (Premiere)
