Robert Blake gives a raw, energetic performance as the late former Teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa, who was jailed in 1967 for jury tampering and pension fraud after a relentless pursuit by then Attorney General Robert Kennedy. This four-hour, two-part version of their duel (the show airs on different days in different cities) is sometimes too talky, but it has its electric moments. Newcomer Cotter Smith is fine as Robert Kennedy and Sam Groom plays brother John, though much of their relationship remains pure caricature—they even toss footballs back and forth during strategy sessions. The conclusion airs next week.
