A mutant timberland behemoth, looking for all the world like Smokey the Bear with a skin condition, threatens to make quick lunch out of an idealistic doctor (Robert Foxworth), his pregnant wife (Talia Shire) and a bunch of backwoods Maine Indians in director John Frankenheimer's silly 1979 horror show.
