Mick Jagger can't get no satisfaction as the Emperor of Cathay until kitchen maid Barbara Hershey brings him a sweet-singing nightingale. In the hands of producer Shelley (Time Bandits) Duvall, this retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen story unfortunately comes out lush but leaden.
